NC3 is committed to de-stigmatizing the cannabis industry and creating pathways for workforce skill development that lead directly to new jobs in North Carolina as well as a prepared talent pipeline and inclusive economic growth.
This private, invite-only event honors three trailblazers in the North Carolina market and features a short introductory session about NC3 Chamber and its mission.
Honorees include:
Allyn C. Howlett, a neurological pharmacologist at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, who is credited with discovery of the CB1 cannabinoid receptor.
Beloved Woman Myrtle Driver Johnson of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, who was integral in the launch of the Great Smoky Cannabis Company on tribal land.
